RAIZ goal in this area is to catalyze opportunities for specialized training of industry professionals. In that perspective, it supports:

• Training courses in pulp production technology and eucalypt silviculture (integrated in Master’s degrees).

• Together with “Instituto Superior de Agronomia” and “Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro” in the Forestry area, and the “Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade de Coimbra”, a “Universidade de Aveiro” e a “Universidade da Beira Interior” in the Technological area, RAIZ prepared two Master courses in 1999:

  • “Silvicultura de Espécies de Crescimento Rápido” (Forestry)
  • “Engenharia dos Processos de Produção de Pasta para Papel” (Technology)

• In 2004 took place the 2nd edition of the Master Course in Pulp and Paper Production Technology

RAIZ has been a reference for pulp and paper clients, students and industry professionals, and a meeting point for national and international researchers.
